Trash & Recycling

The Township contracts with a refuse hauler for the removal of residential trash and recycling in Annville. Collection occurs weekly on Tuesday- see yearly exception list for holidays that may impact the collection schedule

The hauler starts as early as 5:00 AM, so residents are advised to place trash curbside the evening prior to collection day.

All residential dwelling units are required to participate in the municipal trash & recycling program.

Residential Trash Collection

  • Garbage should be in a container with a lid.
  • Bags/Cans may weigh no more than 50 pounds each and may not include green waste, bulky trash items or recyclable items (see below).

Residential Recycling Collection

The Township participates in mandatory curbside recycling.  A recycling bin is available, at no charge to residents, at the Township Office.   

The following items MUST be recycled: 

  • Plastic bottles only (discard other plastics with household garbage)
  • Newspapers & corrugated cardboard
  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Aluminum and bi-metal cans

Annville Township Drop-Off Center 

Annville Township operates a Drop-Off center that is open year-round and will accept bulky trash, green waste, metals and corrugated cardboard.  

Calendar year passes to the Drop-Off Center are sold at Annville Town Hall.
